- cellophane (yellow, red, blue and green)
- white acrylic paint
- paint brush
- hot glue
- a pair of scissors
- white glue

Step 1: Cut the toilet paper roll into several pieces. The width of this should be at least 1 to 2 centimeters.
Step 2: Paint roll strips with white paint. Let it dry and set aside for a while.
Step 3: Cut several squares from the cellophane. The colors should be random as much as possible. The size of the cellophane should be approximate of the diameter of the toilet paper roll.
Step 4: Pinch each roll on both sides. This would create an eye-shaped object. This will be the bulbs of this Christmas light.
Step 5: Apply generous amounts of glue on the edge of the roll. This should be done on one side only and not on both sides.
Step 6: Stretch the cellophane and slowly put the cellophane on top of the glued portion of the roll.
Step 7: Let the cellophane bind with the roll for about an hour.
Step 8: Cut the excess cellophane on the sides of the roll bulb.
Step 9: Cut small rectangles that can fit on the diameter of the bulbs.
Step 10: Paint the squares with white acrylic paint. Let it dry for an hour.
Step 11: Place the rectangle on the upper thirds of the bulb. This will be the base of the bulb or the socket of the bulb.
